The gyro is Greece’s answer to fast food done properly. Ours starts with seasoned gyro meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie and carved as orders come in, so nothing sits around losing its crisp edges. It goes straight into pita that has been warmed on the grill.
From there it is simple and generous: ripe tomato, sliced onion, a good spoon of house-made tzatziki, and a tight roll that holds together to the last bite. Add fries inside the wrap, extra tzatziki or feta if you want to build it up. Not sure what to pair it with? Both are wrapped in pita, but they eat differently. Gyro meat is carved in thin, well-seasoned slices with crisp edges, while souvlaki is cubed meat grilled on a skewer. If you want something richer and faster, go gyro; if you want clean char-grill flavour, go souvlaki.
